Is there a Direct X for Mac? and if not, is that the reason why much games don't work on Mac?

As far as I know, DirectX is officially a windows only API. Games on Mac/Linux mainly use OpenGL...

Most games are generally developed for DirectX. But nowadays more and more OpenGL games are coming out...

Oh, ok just wanted to get something clear because gaming on a mac sucks really.... most of the games can't play on it, especially the best ones.

i know ea is starting to support the mac soon, they are adding 4 games or something cant remember which ones....

or if you have an intel mac you could install boot camp and run windows
